truly. what a simple quote. but how humbling and what different of a perspective can you grasp from this! stop thinking about what to say... stop doing things just to do them... start evaluating how your life if making others feel. how it is affecting their attitude -- are you leading because you love power? or are you leading because you want what is best for those who are following? this is so vital.
i know that for me, i would rather someone skip out on their duties, their requirements, and their rules to be there for me.
and conversely, when this does not occur? it's the worst feeling in the world-- "people will never forget how you made them feel"---good or bad.
